Dr. Helmer Velez

Dr. Helmer Velez, Doctor of Chiropractic, received his M.D. in his home-country, Bolivia, before moving to the United States in 2002. Dr. Velez graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2006.

Dr. Helmer Velez is a wellness doctor, whose main focus is to help his patients achieve their maximum health potential through optimal nervous system function.

Dr. Velez has worked in the West Covina area for several years. In 2009, Dr. Velez expanded and takes care of the Santa Monica and West Los Angeles communities as well. In 2012 Dr Velez opened a third location In Lake Forest to serve the Bolivian community in Orange County.

BOLIVIA MISSION TRIPS

Since 2005, Dr. Helmer Velez has been the Los Angeles Official Trip Coordinator for the Bolivian Chiropractic Association, Hands o n Bolivia . The goal of which is to provide chiropractic care for underprivileged Bolivians who don’t have or have very little access to health care.

For over 10 years founder of Hands on Bolivia, Dr. Rusty Firestone, one of the four chiropractors in Bolivia, has been partnering with several chiropractic schools all over North America to provide chiropractic care to Bolivia.

Dr. Velez and the team of chiropractors at Hands on Bolivia, together have served over 30.000 Bolivians over the last 10 years.
